Hi Tincasters!
The feature you have all been waiting for, Call-In (Beta), is finally here! We’re so excited to see how you all use Call-In to create new content. Here’s a quick run-down on how to use the feature so you can get started right away!
Call-In allows up to three users to collaborate with the host. This feature provides the audience with a greater level of interaction by allowing them to directly participate in the live broadcast. The design was inspired by the string telephones you may have played with as kids.
For the Hosts:
Check out the “Radio Box”!
Our new Radio Box includes all the features you would need as a host: activating Call-In, customizing your live broadcast and making announcements. All hosts can activate or deactivate the Call-In feature inside the live room.

Invite your listeners to talk with you!
Once you have activated the Call-In mode, you can invite your listeners to join your live broadcast! When a Call-In is requested, the Host has one minute to accept or decline the call. Hosts can invite up to three listeners.
For the Listeners:
Be an amazing co-host for the show!
You can participate in a live broadcast when the Host activates the Call-In feature and accepts your call. We recommend that you communicate with the Host beforehand to work out the details as the Host can decline your Call-In request if they want. The Host will get a notification if you request to Call-In.
Use Call-In to create your own Audio Show and Brand! What can you do with this new feature? The possibilities are endless!
- Become a Radio DJ or Podcast Host and have your audience on the line as guests in special segments just like in mainstream radio!
- Have debates and conversations about various topics of interests.
- If you sing and play an instrument, create a music talk show! You could even start a karaoke party!
- Host a quiz show, open up a virtual bar, have a Q&A or AMA session!
- Try voice acting and voice over your favorite movies and dramas with your friends!
For example, there are awesome Tincasters in Japan who met on Tin Can and have been working together remotely for their design project. Now with Call-In, the two designers can better communicate with one another.
